Allergens:What makes Easy Stovetop Chicken and Fries healthy?
While easy stovetop chicken and fries might not be the healthiest recipe, you can still get the best out of your fast food craving with this recipe. It is not fried, surprisingly but cooked with minimal amounts of oil with just salt and pepper but do not underestimate the flavour that comes with it.
Ingredients to make Easy Stovetop Chicken and Fries
2 chicken breast
2 Russet Potatoes
2-3 tbsp of cooking oil
1 tbsp Salt
1 tbsp Pepper
2 tbsp All-Purpose Flour, heaped
1 tbsp Cornflour
Steps to make Easy Stovetop Chicken and Fries
Step 1 : Cut the potatoes lengthwise ( like you would cut up fries) and toss it up with all-purpose flour, cornflour, salt and pepper as much as needed. Divide it into two batches.
Step 2 : In a skillet drizzled with some oil, lay one batch of the cut up potatoes as close as you can and cover it to let it soften until you have a beautiful golden colour on the fries that are at the bottom.
Step 3 : When the fries are done, flip them on a plate.
Step 4 : Slice up the chicken breast into small but long pieces and cook it in some oil with salt and pepper. Top them on the first batch of fries when done.
Step 5 : Now cook the second batch of fries the same way you did the first and flip them on top of the chicken with the golden side on top.
Step 6 : Dribble on top with hot sauce, garlic sauce, tahini, ketchup or mayo, it’s your call!
How to store Stovetop Chicken and Fries?
I would not recommend storing this dish as it may not taste as great as it would right off the stove.
